Pantry Drop helps you turn pantry items into simple recipes. We respect your privacy and aim to collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service.
Summary
- No account is required. We do not ask for your name or email in the app.
- Preferences and saved sets are stored locally on your device.
- When you request recipes, we send your ingredients and preferences to our server to generate suggestions.
- We do not sell your data or use third‑party trackers/ads.
Information We Process
On your device: ingredient lists, saved sets, and app preferences (diet/time/avoid list) are stored locally.
Sent to our server: your current ingredients and optional preferences when you request recipes, solely to generate results.
Server Logs
Our server may log standard information (e.g., IP address, timestamps, user agent) for reliability and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and retained for a limited time.
Third Parties
We use OpenAI’s API to help generate recipe suggestions. Inputs (ingredients and preferences) may be processed by OpenAI to produce outputs. We do not send personal identifiers. See OpenAI’s policies for details.
Analytics & Tracking
We do not include third‑party analytics SDKs or advertising trackers in the app.
Data Retention
Local data stays on your device until you delete the app or clear the data. Server logs are retained only as needed for operations.
Your Choices
- You can remove ingredients, preferences, and saved sets in the app at any time.
- You can stop using the service and uninstall the app.
Children’s Privacy
Pantry Drop is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy if our practices change. We will revise the “Last updated” date above.
